Desktop Web Proxy Getting Started Guide Overview

This document guides you through deploying and using the Desktop Web Proxy (DWP) client, which can be used within a corporate network, or outside if properly configured and authenticated.

About Desktop Web Proxy

Desktop Web Proxy (DWP) is a small endpoint client that controls the flow of traffic from the user’s computer to Web Security Service, by configuring the systems browsers to route all traffic through the localhost and out to the data center nearest the user’s geographic location.

The DWP installer is an .msi file that can be installed manually or deployed centrally such as Group Policy Management.
